LICDC/LCDC IOP Clinician — Middletown, OH

Apply for this role

SOS Wellness is seeking an Ohio-licensed LICDC, LCDC II, or LCDC III clinician to lead substance use disorder intensive outpatient program (IOP) groups and perform substance use assessments in Middletown. Part-time or full-time 1099 contract work is available.

The role

  • Lead structured substance use treatment groups for adults participating in our intensive outpatient program.
  • Conduct substance use assessments, gather relevant history, and document findings within your license’s scope of practice.
  • Develop and update treatment plans in collaboration with the treatment team.
  • Maintain clear, timely assessment records, group notes, and progress documentation.
  • Coordinate care with therapists, case managers, and psychiatric providers.
  • Refer diagnostic decisions or clinical needs outside your scope to the appropriate qualified provider.

Qualifications and experience

  • An active Ohio LCDC II, LCDC III, or LICDC license. Independent licensure is not required for LCDC applicants.
  • Experience providing substance use counseling, facilitating treatment groups, and conducting substance use assessments; prior IOP experience is preferred.
  • Strong group-facilitation, clinical documentation, and collaborative treatment-planning skills.
  • Ability to work within your license’s scope of practice and applicable supervision requirements.

This position focuses on group facilitation and assessments, not supervision of other staff. LCDC II clinicians are not required or authorized to independently diagnose substance use disorders; diagnostic decisions will be handled by an appropriately qualified clinician. LCDC III diagnostic work, if assigned, will be performed under required supervision.
